Born in 1971 in New York, we moved to South Florida in 1974. My father, being of Greek descent, started me in the game of soccer at the age of five. I spent my entire soccer career here in South Florida. While playing in college, I finished my “playing days” in Plantation when I became interested in coaching. I thought it would be great to coach and have a team of my very own. For the past twenty-two years, I have been coaching youth soccer in Plantation, Sunrise, Coral Springs, Parkland, and Palm Beach. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with highly talented players and great young men, most of which I still have great relationships with. A majority of the teams that I have been involved with have enjoyed success on and off the field. I‘ve been a part of many team accomplishments including sixteen Final Four State Cup appearances, seven State Cup finals, four State Cup titles, three Southern Regional semi-finals, two final Southern Regional appearances, Super Clubs Regional and National Championship, three Sunbowl Championships and numerous other championships from many other local tournaments. My qualifications include a “D” class Coaching license as well as countless hours studying the game. I have attended several coaching courses held by top coaches in the world, such as Franz Hoek and members of the Dutch Soccer Federation. I have found that the best part of coaching is giving back to the local community and getting to work with great young soccer players. The most satisfying accomplishment of coaching is seeing my players go on to college, some furthering their soccer careers beyond the college level, with others coming back to coach youth players. While the ultimate reward is being able to give back to the game that, through the years, has given us all some much!
