 The Plantation FC U 15 Copa Boys finished Region III with a 7-2-2 record and 23 points placing them at the top of the standings and moving them on to Edmond, Oklahoma this coming June where 60 teams will compete in the Region III Championships. 12 teams from this tournament will move on to Overton Kansas to compete in the National Finals July 2013.  This is the first team to represent Plantation FC to in Region III Championship since the club was established. Congratulations Boys and good luck!

 The U.S. Under-15 and Under-14 Girls’ National Teams held concurrent training camps in Cary, N.C. from Oct. 20-28  under the direction of U-15 GNT head coach Damon Nahas and U.S. Soccer Director of Women’s Development Jill Ellis, who have called up a total of 60 of the top players born in 1997, 1998 and 1999. 

The U-14s began on Oct. 20 while the U-15s started on the 21st. Nahas called in 32 players for the U-15 camp, almost all born in 1997, but included three players born in 1998 (forward Mia Gyau from the Bethesda Lions, forward Maddie Schultz from Northwest Nationals and midfielder Mary-Alice Vignola from Ohio Elite Academy) to give them more experience with the older age group as this team enters its final U-15 event before transitioning to U-17s for the next cycle when they will attempt to qualify for the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica. Ellis called 28 into the U-14 camp, most born 1998 with two born in 1999. With Jaida Scott being one of those two players.
